The 4:52 — walkthrough

Complete spoilers. Every puzzle, in order. If you only want a nudge, the hint page gives you one thing at a time.

Each entry is one command, in order, separated by slashes. Directions are abbreviated (n, se, u, d). This is the exact sequence the game's own test suite runs, so it is always current.

Act I — First Class

One loop, all the way round, to see the reset. wait until is how you travel: one turn is one minute and there are a hundred and two of them.

Act II — The Timetable

Be in the room at the minute. Third coach at 3:30 for the boy; the guard's van at 3:48; the restaurant car for 3:54 and 4:00; the kitchen at 4:28. Eight facts ends the act.

Act III — The Front of the Train

The key is in Skeat's coat from 3:46 while he takes tea. Eight coaches forward, through the corridor door, over the tender, and then wait on the footplate for 4:28 and 4:40.

Act IV — The Cutting

pull cord and then stay aboard. Eleven becomes forty-one. That is the act.

Act V — 4:52

The winning line, in order: sit at table four before 3:54 so there is no row and the guard stays in his van; ask vail about his daughter between 3:58 and 4:28; then be in the van after 4:34 and warn vail. The other two endings are alight at Westbury and let it happen.
