The Long Dry — walkthrough
Each entry is one command, in order, separated by slashes.
Directions are abbreviated (n, se, u, d). This is
the exact sequence the game's own test suite runs, so it is always current.
Act I — Bisbee

Ask Mrs Vogt about the coin order — it is the fact the whole game turns on. Say the horses were shod in Brewery Gulch. Get Cassie to follow you before you ride out.
Act II — The Dry Wash

Fill the canteens at Mud Springs, examine the wagon and the tracks at the crossing, and then walk the far edge of the rock shelf. Split the water however you mean to; the game keeps the count and so does she.
Act III — The Mine
n / examine map / s / e / stand with the town / tell vogt ask vogt about the adit / w / s / in / light lamp / n take the boards off
You need one faction at forty. stand with one of them and then tell them everything, and take whichever of the three doors that buys. Then light lamp.
Act IV — The Rancheria
d / e / e / n / n / n n / examine the wallet / ride back
Go north with Cassie beside you. Whether the rancheria is still there was decided in Act III and cannot be decided again.
Act V — The Long Dry
reckon / n / examine grave / s / s / give the sack to vogt
Four endings, all reachable, none of them right: the Company, the long table, the road east, or nobody.
